Vietnamese food has always been raved about as one of the best cuisines in the whole world. Coming from a diversed country with a wide range of foods, crossing all cultures, I feel that claim is a little too much because what can beat diversity, right?
However, I was convinced otherwise after a bowl of steaming hot pho.
A Must for First Timers
When we first got the invitation to try Super Saigon, I was not too keen of trying it. Well, in my defense, I am a curry and nasi lemak kind of girl. I am used to the rich spiceness of our food and I felt something like pho, cannot even reach the standard of taste that I’m used to.
Regardless of my own apprehensiveness, I decided to give it a shot and thank God, I was pleasantly surprised.
Un-phogettable Experience
If you are trying out Vietnamese food for the first time like me, I understand perfectly if you get a little overwhelmed when you are flipping through the pages of the menu. There is just so many to choose from!
To save you the time from that akward 10 minutes, going, “I wannnntt….”, while your server is waiting patiently for you to make up your mind, here are some things that I feel will give you the pleasant dining experience that you are expecting.
What to Order
Before you order, make sure you bring a friend or two to eat with you. The portion size of food served in Super Saigon are huge and your poor stomach won’t be able to handle that much of food.
However, if you are still adamant on going solo, make sure you order the pho (duh!), the banh mi and the rice paper spring rolls. Have that with their avocado shake and you’re good to go!
The succulent meats and vegetables used are fresh and of great quality. You can taste the dizzying mix of flavours with every mouthful.
Super Saigon is Waiting
With this unpredictable weather we are having now, you sure need something hot, good and nutritious to keep both your spirit high and health in check.
For me, Super Saigon has it all. Check them out at http://supersaigon.com.my/
