I grew up in a kampong in Temerluh, Pahang, where we reared our own chicken for meat and eggs, had ducks, geese, goats, cows, a fish pond and even buffalos … yes, it’s a small zoo! As the eldest child, it was only natural that I would be in the kitchen helping my mother. She was a fantastic cook and most of the recipes I create today are inspired by her cooking.
Since leaving that kampong, I’ve since settled in Shah Alam, a wife, mother of 3 teenagers and a career spanning 21 years in Human Resources with the last six years spent as Geomarket HR Manager for a large MNC Oil & Gas company before I resigned in 2017 due to a breast cancer diagnosis in 2015. Since then, my focus has been on healing myself through food and finding ways to help others also live healthier through good nutritious food and wellness.
